I hold coaching certifications from UESCA Ultrarunning, RRCA Distance Running, and Training Peaks. I was a busy, nationally certified personal trainer at a large gym prior to turning my attention to working exclusively with runners and over the past 6 years I have enjoyed working with high school track athletes, soccer players, and, of course, ultrarunners.
As an athlete, I have been trail running since 2014, during which time I have competed in over 60 ultra-distance races, with podium finishes in the vast majority of those. I hold multiple Course Records and several ultra-distance Fastest Known Times. My most important role is being a mother of four, and I know how important it is to make the absolute most of limited training time. I credit much of my success to implementing regular strength training into my weekly schedule.
I have coached athletes in tough ultra events ranging from Georgia Death Race, UTMB, and Ouray 50, as well as Spartan racers and marathoners looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I have worked as a track coach for the local high school, and also served as the distance running coach for an area gym.
In addition to my running certifications, I hold a Level 1 Certification in Sports Nutrition, and I am knowledgeable about the strong connection between good nutrition and good performance. All aspects of an athletes life work together and impact training and I can help analyze and customize your training plan to work with your life.
